Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) establishes the standards for appropriate and lawful use of Lachem's Business Operating System platform, website, APIs, integrations, and all associated services (collectively, the “Services”). This AUP applies to all users, clients, and their authorized personnel who access or use our Services.

By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Services, as well as potential legal action.

2. Permitted Uses

Our Services are designed for legitimate enterprise business operations. Permitted uses include:

  • Managing internal business operations, workflows, and processes
  • Team collaboration and communication for business purposes
  • Business performance tracking and analytics
  • Strategic planning and goal management
  • Process documentation and knowledge management
  • Integration with authorized third-party business tools
  • Training employees on business processes and operations

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Lachem platform:

3.1 Illegal and Harmful Activities

  • Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or government orders
  • Engaging in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
  • Facilitating money laundering, bribery, or corruption
  • Storing or transmitting illegal content or materials
  • Infringing upon intellectual property rights of third parties

3.2 Security Violations

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network
  • Conducting penetration testing without prior written authorization from Lachem
  • Introducing malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code
  • Conducting denial-of-service attacks or interfering with platform availability
  • Attempting to circumvent authentication or security controls
  • Accessing another user's account or data without authorization

3.3 Platform Misuse

  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the platform
  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from the platform without authorization
  • Using automated bots or scripts in ways that burden platform infrastructure
  • Reselling or sublicensing platform access to unauthorized third parties
  • Using the platform to build a competing product or service
  • Misrepresenting your identity or organizational affiliation

3.4 Data Misuse

  • Storing highly sensitive personal data (e.g., medical records, financial account numbers) without proper authorization and safeguards
  • Processing data in ways that violate applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Sharing confidential client or employee data without appropriate consent
  • Using data extracted from the platform for unauthorized purposes

4. Data Responsibility

As a business client, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all data entered into the platform is handled in compliance with applicable laws
  • Obtaining necessary consents from employees and stakeholders whose data you process
  • Maintaining appropriate access controls for your organizational users
  • Promptly reporting any security incidents or suspected data breaches to Lachem
  • Not using the platform as the sole backup for critical business data

5. Resource Usage

You agree to use platform resources in a manner consistent with your subscription plan. Excessive API calls, storage usage, or bandwidth consumption that materially impacts other clients may result in usage limitations or additional charges as outlined in your service agreement.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP or any suspicious activity on the Lachem platform, please report it immediately to support@lachem.io. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Enforcement

Lachem reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If a violation is confirmed, Lachem may take actions including but not limited to:

  • Warning the account holder of the violation
  • Temporarily suspending the affected account or specific users
  • Permanently terminating the subscription without refund
  • Reporting unlawful activities to appropriate authorities
  • Pursuing legal remedies for damages caused by violations

8. Updates to This Policy

Lachem may update this AUP from time to time to address new types of harmful use or changes in our platform capabilities. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the Services after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
